They Won't Forget (Warner Bros. 1937)

Lana on They Won't Forget:
When I learned more about filmmaking, I understood what director Mervyn LeRoy had done. He had emphasized my sexiness to fix me in viewers' minds. He gave me what they call "flesh impact," to let a tight sweater imply what couldn't be said on the screen. But that walk down the street of a Southern town would completely change my life.

Highlights and Trivia
*Based on the book Death in the Deep South; a Novel About Murder by Ward Greene.
*Although Lana's appearance in this film is relatively brief, her walk down the street in a sweater creates a sensation. For the rest of her life, much to her annoyance, she will be called "The Sweater Girl".
