Synopsis: Lana and John Wayne together on the high seas.
My Review: Lana and John Wayne! Who knew?! Looking at it on paper it is easy to think that Lana Turner and John Wayne would be hopelessly mismatched as a sea captain and his former mistress, but somehow it worked. The film really belongs to John Wayne and Lana really doesn't really have that much to do, except sit back and be his romantic foil. Through the wind, the rain and months aboard a ship, with no food or supplies, Lana's makeup never gets smudged and there is never a hair out of place. Make what you can of that.
There is also a scene aboard the ship, with Lana and John Wayne in their rain coats, that I get a chuckle out of. They remind me of the Gordon's Fisherman. Am I the only one who finds that funny?
