Stephen B. Whatley Portraits
London based artist Stephen B. Whatley has graciously donated his Lana Turner artwork to Lana Turner Online for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
About the artist:
Stephen B Whatley was born in London in 1965 and specializes in oil painting and cartoon illustration. Career highlights include his 1993 London exhibition of paintings entitled Hollywood Gold, celebrating the glamorous ladies-including Lana Turner-of Hollywood's Golden era; and his 2000 commission of 30 paintings for the Tower of London-all of which have been reproduced in a public walkway close to The Tower. His expressionist paintings are in collection all over the world including The Royal Collection of Queen Elizabeth; while his cartoon tributes are in the collections of such Hollywood Legends as Jane Russell, Rhonda Fleming, June Allyson, Angela Lansbury...and Cheryl Crane, daughter of Lana Turner-whom he surprised with cartoon tributes on her birthday and other anniversaries throughout her illness.
