Synopsis: Two brothers (Clark Gable and Robert Sterling) compete for the same girl (Lana) at the beginning of World War II. You're better off renting Homecoming.
My Review: This is probably the weakest of all of the Turner/Gable vehicles of the 1940's. I was kind of left scratching my head as to whether the film was a war movie, a drama, a comedy or both. The screenwriters couldn't decide I suppose. After about an hour of the two brothers antagonizing each other over who's going to get the girl, it starts to wear a little thin. Gable isn't as committed to the film, as he usually is but that is expected. During the filming his wife, screen star Carole Lombard was killed in a plane crash over Las Vegas.
